FAQs
Frequently (and not-so-frequently) asked questions
How Long Does The Design Process And Construction Take From Start To Finish?
The length of time for the design process and construction can vary depending on the scope and complexity of the project. On average, I’d say it can take between 6 months and up to a year and a half.
We typically provide a general timeline during the initial consultation, but it is important to note that unexpected delays may occur. Our team works diligently to stay on schedule and provide regular updates throughout the process.
Do You Have A Team Of Contractors And Vendors You Work With, Or Will I Need to Find My Own?
Yes, we have a trusted network of contractors, vendors, and suppliers that we work with regularly. Our team is experienced in managing the entire design and construction process, from sourcing materials to coordinating with contractors. However, we are also happy to work with any preferred contractors and vendors that you may have.
What Happens During The Interior Design Consultation?
The initial consultation is an opportunity for us to get to know you and your design goals. During the consultation, we will discuss your design preferences, lifestyle, and budget. If there is time, we will also take measurements and assess the space to understand the project’s scope fully. This information will be used to create a detailed design plan that addresses your needs and preferences.
What Is Your Design Style?
At Kendal Cavalieri Design, we design for the people. We don’t impose our aesthetic onto our clients. Our design style is versatile, and we work closely with our clients to understand their preferences, tastes, and unique lifestyles. Whether your style is traditional, modern, or a mix of both, we will create a personalized design that reflects your personality and enhances your daily living.
How Do You Handle Changes n The Design Plan Or Budget During The Project?
We understand that changes can happen during a project and we always try to be flexible and accommodating to our client’s needs. If changes need to be made to the design plan or budget, we will discuss the options with the client and make adjustments accordingly.
What Happens If I Don’t Like The Design Concept?
At Kendal Cavalieri Design, we understand that design is subjective, and it’s possible that you may not love the initial concept. If that happens, we’ll work closely with you to understand what elements you don’t like and what you want to change.
Our goal – always – is to create a space that you love and that reflects your personal style and needs. We’ll go back to the drawing board and present you with revised options until we find the perfect design that exceeds your expectations. We want you to be thrilled with the end result, so we’ll work tirelessly to make sure you’re happy every step of the way.
